Urgent temporary closure of C20, Mappowder

DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along C20, Mappowder from the access road leading to Thurnwood Farm to a point approximately 60 metres to the west (in both directions). The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 13th June 2024 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14th June 2024.

This Notice will enable Wessex Water safe access to repair a mains leak.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section. You can see the map here.
