Public Notice: Temporary closure of C100, Hazelbury Bryan, 28 May - 31 May 2024

Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended.

All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along C100, Hazelbury Bryan between Pleck Hill and Thickthorn Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 1200 metres.

The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 09:30 until 15:30 from 28th May 2024 until 31st May 2024 and remain in force for five days.

The road will be reopened overnight and at the weekend. The road will then be closed between 09:00 until 15:00 on 3rd June 2024 to facilitate school access. Residents living within the closed stretch of road will also be maintained access.

This Notice will enable Wessex Internet safe access to install fibre cabling.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section. You can check out the map here.
