I have received an application from Wessex Internet to close Various Roads, Hazelbury Bryan as listed: [i] Smetherd Farm Access Road, Hazelbury Bryan from junction with Silly Hill; [ii] Silly Hill, Hazelbury Bryan from junction with Smetherd Farm Access Road to junction with Kingston Lane; [iii] Kingston Lane, Hazelbury Bryan from junction with Silly Hill to junction with Back Lane. The closures has been requested to provide Wessex Internet with safe access to install fibre cabling. These works are programmed to commence from 29th July 2024 until 16th August 2024. For the duration of the works Wessex Internet will maintain access for residents living within the closed stretch of road.
Wessex Internet will publicise the road closure in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network. This map shows the extent of the closure and the diversion route.
