I have received an application from Wessex Internet to close Marsh Lane, Hazelbury Bryan from junction with Churchfoot Lane to a point 500 metres to the southeast of Thickthorn Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 1370 metres. The closure has been requested to provide Wessex Internet with a safe working area to install fibre cabling. These works are programmed to commence from 22nd July 2024 until 26th July 2024.
Wessex Internet will publicise the road closure in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network. This map shows the extent of the closure and the diversion route.
