Many of you will be aware that a car crashed through the cemetery gates in the evening a couple of weeks ago. The car was burnt out in a fire, but no-one was injured. The Police have finished their investigation and we are now working with a loss adjuster from our insurance company to organise repairs etc. Two of the graves were slightly damaged with grass being singed by the fire but the actual graves were not disturbed. The families of those buried have been contacted. Hopefully new growth in the spring will ensure the site is back to normal by next summer, but the entrance should be fixed long before then.
