The parish council is the first tier of elected government in England, followed by the new unitary authority, Dorset Council (from May 2019), and then Parliament. Meetings are currently held on the second Tuesday of each month and during the Covid crisis they are held remotely via Zoom. The meeting code and the password are on the agenda which is on the web site. Members of the public are most welcome and have a chance to have their say on matters of interest or concern.
Seven councillors are elected in May every 4 years, with any vacancies being filled in the event of resignation etc mid-term.
